Do you need an EP?
I am not available for work until the beginnng of September 2026. Typically, I work with children in school or in their home and provide advice about their learning in the form of an Educational Psychology report.
My work informs the EHCP and Tribunal process. I charge £75 per hou and minimal travel costs.
a bit about me
I have been an Educational Psychologist since 1997. Before that I worked as a teacher for 18 years, mainly in special schools
I am qualified, insured, HCPC registered and I have enhanced DBS clearance. I am a member of the AEP

the work I do
I prefer face-to-face work with the child in their school or home setting
I use standardized tests to assess their academic and cognitive skills. This gives me the opportunity to get to understand them better as a learner
I write an educational psychology report that can be used to inform the EHCP process and advise on support arrangements for the client
I specialize in dyslexia, dyscalculia, general learning difficulties and identifying specific learning difficulties. I give advice on school placement. I do not write the psychological advice within the EHCP process, rather prior to it

I write books I have published a set of specialist number books to help children who have exceptionally weak number skills and/or discalculia. The method of instruction relies on precision teaching and inculcatingthe spatial visualization of number. The books can be photocopied for use in group teaching situations.
